Those of you that are up to date on your NCMD Membership have or are about to receive the latest issue, No 25.
Whilst some may not read it as avidly as The Searcher, or Treasure Hunter, maybe some give it but a briefest of glances, I would, in this instance advise you create 15 minutes or so of Quiet Time and methodically read the principal articles namely:- the Front Page Item - "Code of Practice for Responsible Metal Detecting" and the article commencing on Page 4 "What to do when you find Treasure" There is much to be learnt, particularly in the detail which is well explained in the second article - after all, who knows what you'll find on your next dig ? The first article demonstrates how the NCMD attempts to defend and support the Hobby of Metal Detecting - ie:- does its best to support YOU and YOUR HOBBY.
So - first press issue from you newly elected Chair - SIT - READ & INWARDLY DIGEST !! Hopefully some of you will be referring back to the second article in the not too distant future !!!
